Our Student Chapter strives to improve transportation safety and awareness in the community through various activities. We are involved in four main areas: (1) community service, (2) hosting professional events, (3) enhancing student development and learning, and (4) organizing fundraisers to help fund our volunteer activities. The University of Manitoba ITE Student Chapter is currently raising funds for a Hoover Dam Technical Tour, where 25 students and professors from the University of Manitoba's Department of Civil Engineering will be traveling to the Las Vegas area between February 19 and 25 to tour
the Hoover Dam, the Hoover Dam bypass bridge, the Durango Hills Water
Recycle Center, the Las Vegas Traffic Management Center, and the Grand
Canyon area. The organizational component of the trip is being spearheaded by the ITE Student Chapter Executive; if you would like to support technical tour, please contact our Treasurer, Rob Poapst. |
