Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering this December, and will begin
pursuing a Masters degree in Transportation Engineering in May of next
year. Her interests lie in road safety and transportation
ecology. She is currently conducting research on the problem of
wildlife-vehicle collisions in order to identify engineering countermeasures
that can be implemented on Provincial Highways in Manitoba.

Rob Poapst - Treasurer
It has been a year now since Rob has started his
graduate studies at the University of Manitoba and he still has one more year
to enjoy. Exploring the bigger questions in life and how they relate to
transportation has sparked his passion in sustainable transportation, more
specifically in public transit and cycling.
As Treasurer of the Student Chapter Rob will not
only keep the books but he will also take a lead role in organizing some of the
chapters many events and tours. He is really excited about directing a
community building project that will see the Student
Chapter rehabilitate bikes for junior high school students from the
cities urban center. The project will educate the students how to maintain
their new bikes and provide an urban riding safety course. Rob believes that
"Progress towards a safe and equitable transportation system is progress
towards a sustainable and healthy community".
