On September 22, our Student Chapter hosted the Executive Elections Meeting. Following the election procedures, the new Executive led a discussion with the Student Chapter on what type of events or activities they would like to see pursued within the following year. Since then, our Executive met on October 2 for our Strategic Planning Meeting. This meeting consisted of a major portion of the planning of our annual and new events. To guide our planning initiatives throughout the year, we derived the theme, “Leading the Way” and worked to identify ways that we could improve our Student Chapter. To do so, we reviewed the ITE International Student Chapter Manual, Best Practices, and Bylaws and have planned our annual events in order to address the following categories:

1. Technical Activities; 
2. Professional Involvement; 
3. Public Service; and 
4. Social Events and Fundraising.

To address these categories, our Executive derived a schedule that is balanced with events from each category. To see how we’ve already put our plan into action, check out the our newsletters for recent events.
